Beccles Townlands Charity - Finance
The Charity’s Capital is invested in:
- Land/Property in and around Beccles
- Units issued by CCLA — The leading fund manager for charities and faith organisations
- Equities listed on the London Stock Exchange
- Term Deposit Accounts
The income from the Capital can be used to meet the costs of running the Charity, which include Property Services, Property Upkeep (three of the properties are ‘Listed’ and repairs can be expensive) Insurances, and Professional Services.
During the Financial Year ended 31st October 2025 the charity made twenty eight donations distributing a total of £216,966 to various categories of residents/organisations as shown below:

Scout & Guides HQ – support with the refurbishment of premises
Thirst Youth Group – to support the group’s ongoing activities

Helping Hands at Beccles Primary Academy – help with fund-raising activities

The Parish of St Michaels – foodbank, school uniform assistance and minibus
